Today started as the least crazy day so far. The craziest thing I started with was munching on some 24 hour old pizza while doing some shop browsing, which I think saved my life. By the time we finished this though everyone in the group was pretty much left clutching onto what ounces of rally we have left in us to power through. Luckily, power through we did because this night was a night of room parties galore.
The group mainly bounced between three room parties (Cosmic Game Night, ILoveThe80s.com, and Ride The Darkwave) all of which were super rad. Cosmic Game night was probably the most calm which was a nice reintroduction back to partying. ILoveThe80s.com had a super fun 80s cover band just playing some 80s radio hits. There was a one off room we also stopped into which was not really themed but had an awesome surf band called The Tequila Worms playing in a super intimate setting. I tried to get into Ride The Darkwave again but the line was so long I decided it might be better to come back after catching some of the burlesque show (where someone dressed as Ariel did a performance to a mashup of “Look at this stuff” from The Little Mermaid and “Ms. New Booty) which was incredible).
Once I did finally get back from the burlesque show and into line for the 3rd attempt at Ride The Darkwave it had decreased significantly as the last band was already playing. That said I’m so stoked I finally got in because this room was a riot. The theming and music was right up my alley and the cocktails were excellent. I’m really surprised they did not win the best room party this year, but congrats to ILoveThe80s.com for their victory!
